The Colour of Friendship
Author: Unknown

Once upon a time the colours of the world started to quarrel. All claimed that they were the best.
The most important.
The most useful.
The favorite.

Green said:
"Clearly I am the most important. I am the sign of life and of hope. I was chosen for grass, trees and leaves. Without me, all animals would die. Look over the countryside and you will see that I am in the majority."

Blue interrupted:
"You only think about the earth, but consider the sky and the sea. It is the water that is the basis of life and drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea. The sky gives space and peace and serenity. Without my peace, you would all be nothing."

Yellow chuckled:
"You are all so serious. I bring laughter, gaiety, and warmth into the world. The sun is yellow, the moon is yellow, the stars are yellow. Every time you look at a sunflower, the whole world starts to smile. Without me there would be no fun."

Orange started next to blow her trumpet:
"I am the colour of health and strength. I may be scarce, but I am precious for I serve the needs of human life. I carry the most important vitamins. Think of carrots, pumpkins, oranges, mangoes, and papayas. I don't hang around all the time, but when I fill the sky at sunrise or sunset, my beauty is so striking that no one gives another thought to any of you."

Red could stand it no longer he shouted out:
"I am the ruler of all of you. I am blood - life's blood! I am the colour of danger and of bravery. I am willing to fight for a cause. I bring fire into the blood. Without me, the earth would be as empty as the moon. I am the colour of passion and of love, the red rose, the poinsettia and the poppy."

Purple rose up to his full height:
He was very tall and spoke with great pomp: "I am the colour of royalty and power. Kings, chiefs, and bishops have always chosen me for I am the sign of authority and wisdom. People do not question me! They listen and obey."

Finally Indigo spoke, much more quietly than all the others, but with just as much determination: "Think of me. I am the colour of silence. You hardly notice me, but without me you all become superficial. I represent thought and reflection, twilight and deep water. You need me for balance and contrast, for prayer and inner peace."

And so the colors went on boasting, each convinced of his or her own superiority. Their quarreling became louder and louder. Suddenly there was a startling flash of bright lightening thunder rolled and boomed. Rain started to pour down relentlessly. The colors crouched down in fear, drawing close to one another for comfort.

In the midst of the clamor, rain began to speak: "You foolish colours, fighting amongst yourselves, each trying to dominate the rest. Don't you know that you were each made for a special purpose, unique and different? Join hands with one another and come to me."

Doing as they were told, the colours united and joined hands.

The rain continued: "From now on, when it rains, each of you will stretch across the sky in a great bow of colour as a reminder that you can all live in peace.

The Rainbow is a sign of hope for tomorrow." And so, whenever a good rain washes the world, and a Rainbow appears in the sky, let us remember to appreciate one another.

The Rag Doll and The Teddy Bear

Once upon a time
Through a door just down the hall
In a dark, forgotten corner
Of the playroom was a doll.

She was only made of cloth,
A rather simple work of art,
But you could see where someone
Had embroidered her a heart.

It had faded from neglect
And being lonely through the years,
And she couldn't even cry
Because she hadn't any tears.

But then one day as she lay cold
And silent on the floor,
A teddy bear was tossed in
Through the squeaky playroom door.

As she watched him, he got to his feet
And slowly walked her way;
And her little red embroidered heart
Came to life that day.

He gently picked her up,
And as he held her in his arms,
He noticed a faint heartbeat
And certain rag doll charms.

So he took some thread and stitched
A pretty twinkle in her eye
And fixed her sewed-on smile
Which had long-since gone awry.

He brushed away the dust
And cobwebs from her dress
Then taught her about love
In his fuzzy warm caress.

Those two have stayed together
Since that day so long ago;
And when he looks at her today,
He would hardly even know

That his happy little rag doll,
So content and satisfied,
Was the same one he had found
Cast so carelessly aside.

美美 tips for girls only =D
Actually boys can try too if u all want =p

During my free time, I found some fruit facial recipes which is easy to make. Girls who wanna stay pretty and attractive can try these. But no guaranteed ar..hee hee..=p Here are some recipes which are inexpensive to make and you probably have the ingredients right in the kitchen now.

APPLE MASK FOR NORMAL SKIN

1 Apple, cored & quartered
2 tablespoon of honey

Drop the apple pieces into a food processor and chop. Add honey and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Pat the mixture onto your face with a light tapping motion, tapping until the honey feels tacky. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse.

TOMATO MASK FOR BLEMISHED SKIN

1 Tomato, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon instant style oatmeal

Blend everything together. Apply to skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay on blemished areas: cheeks, forehead, or chin. If necessary, add a bit more oatmeal to thicken the mask. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then scrub it off with a clean washcloth dipped in warm water.

BANANA FRUIT FACIAL MASK RECIPE FOR MOISTURING SKIN

2 Ripe Medium Bananas
1 Tablespoon of honey

Mash the ripe bananas with a fork and avoid over mashing. Too much mashing will cause the banana mixture to become runny. Add about one tablespoon of honey. Smooth the mixture over the skin and leave it on for approximately ten minutes. Follow with a cool clean water rinse and gently pat dry the face.

GRAPE FACIAL MASK RECIPE FOR SUN EXPOSED SKIN

1 cup of green grapes

1 teaspoon of honey or 1 egg yolk

Crush the green grapes into a pulp. Next, add the honey or egg yolk (whichever is desired). Place the mixture on dampened skin for 15 minutes and then rinse off. This mask is ideal for faces that have been exposed to too much sun.

STRAWBERRY FACE MASK FOR OILY SKIN

2 Ripe Strawberry
2 tablespoon of finely grined oats (use processor to grind oats)
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Using a food processor, process the strawberry first until it is pulverized. Add the oats and process further until the mixture is smooth. If it seems too watery, add oats a little at a time, processing after each, until a smooth paste forms. You will see visible pieces of strawberry seeds which will aid in the skin treatment process. Transfer to a small bowl and add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Stir to combine.Spread Strawberry Face Mask in a thick layer onto face and neck area (avoiding eyes and lips).Rest for 15-20min. Rinse off with cool water.

GRAPE CLEANSER RECIPE FOR ALL SKIN TYPE

Grape juice makes an excellent cleanser for any skin type. Simply split one or two large grapes, remove pips and rub the flesh over face and neck. Rinse off with cool water.
